Norway Salmon Situation in the Chinese Market!

Norway has greatly expanded its market share in China. According to NSC statistics, 168,500 tons of Norwegian seafood were imported to China last year, a year-on-year increase of 13%. Import data for the first three months of this year show that Norway has a 36% market share in the Chinese fresh salmon market, while Chile has a 39% share.

Through precision marketing through Chinese online sales channels, Norwegian salmon sales have grown rapidly. Norwegian seafood sold through JD.com ’s online and offline channels increased by more than 200% this year. NSC is more actively marketing Norwegian salmon this year, which means that Norwegian exporters are confident that they can continue to expand regardless of the performance of the Chinese economy next year and later years.
